Moyosore Orimoloye is a Nigerian poet and writer. His poems, short stories and essays have appeared in Transition, The Republic, Catapult, The Ilanot Review, Lolwe, A Long House and elsewhere. His poem Love is a Plot Device and your Insecticide is not co-won the Babishai Niwe Poetry Prize in 2016 and his chapbook of poems, Love is a Plot Device was published by Sankofa Mag in 2019. Between 2017 and 2021, Moyosore led the editorial team of Agbowó, a literary magazine dedicated to the African continent, overseeing weekly publications and four well-received annual issues.
He is also a practicing organic chemist, studying for a doctoral degree in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Minnesota where he is interested in iron-acquisition in Mycobacterium tuberculosis and novel anti-tubercular small molecules.
Moyo’s current interests lay, majorly, in exploring traditional poetic forms.
